Corporate event production in Paris, from the first site visit to the last truck out

Bring us an idea and a date, and we produce the event, in Paris as in Val d'Isère and Tignes.

Prodbox is a corporate event production company based in Paris, also working in the mountains, in Val d'Isère and Tignes. We produce shows and events for companies, luxury houses and event agencies, with a team whose experience goes back to 1994. You keep hold of what the event says, and we take care of how it gets made: budget, suppliers, technical plans, lighting, crew and show calling.

Event production: truss, lighting and drapes before the doors open

A production company that works with your teams

You come to us with an idea and a date, sometimes with a concept your own teams have already drawn up. We turn it into an event that is costed and scheduled, then see it through until the last truck leaves. Event agencies also hand us the event production of projects they have designed for their clients, while they keep the creative work and the relationship with the brand.

We produce small and large events, ticketed or free, corporate, public or private, always within your confidentiality rules. Ours is one of the trades represented by UNIMEV, the French union of event professions.

How an event is produced, step by step

We advise you from the first conversation and at every stage after it: feasibility study, specifications, budget, choice of suppliers and price negotiation, technical plans, lighting design, putting the crew together. We then follow the production, call the show on the day and keep a hand on costs until the get-out. Depending on the size of the event, allow anything from six weeks to twelve months between our first meeting and the day itself.

The crafts behind an event, from the set to show calling

An event brings several crafts together, and we coordinate them in a single schedule:

  • event set design: sets drawn by us and built in partner workshops, with partner set designers when the project calls for them, and exhibition stand design for the houses that exhibit;
  • luxury brand activation: pop-up stores, window displays and installations for luxury houses;
  • the product launch event, from the reveal to the last guest;
  • technical production: sound, lighting, video and structures, hired for each event from suppliers we select with you;
  • artists and entertainment, which we suggest and book for you, contracts included.

Conferences, concerts, festivals and pop-up stores

We produce conventions and conferences, incentive events, evenings, concerts and shows, pop-up stores, and long-running artistic or advertising installations. Festivals are part of it too: theatre, circus, electronic music, pop, world music, rock and jazz. For companies in Paris, we have produced gala evenings, conventions, conferences and end-of-year parties.

For luxury houses, we work in fragrance and beauty, high jewellery, fine watchmaking, champagne and spirits, the worlds you will find on our luxury events in Paris page. For them we have produced fragrance launches, high jewellery dinners, fine watchmaking exhibitions and private tastings.

Advice and feasibility study

The feasibility study checks that your project fits the venue, the timetable and the budget you have in mind. On the site visit we take the measurements that matter: floor area and ceiling height, access for trucks and sets, available power, rigging points, and the build hours the venue allows. You then know which ideas can go ahead as they are and which need adapting.

We then work back from the day itself to build the schedule: sign-off on the plans, building and delivery of the sets, the build on site.

Specifications, budget and choice of suppliers

We write one specification per craft: sets, sound, lighting, video, structures, furniture. Every supplier we consult prices the same request, so you can compare their quotes line by line. We negotiate the prices, choose the offers with you and build the budget item by item. You make each decision knowing what it costs, whether that is an extra piece of set or an hour less on the build. We then sign with the chosen suppliers and invoice their work back to you, so you have one contact and one invoice.

Technical plans, lighting and crew

We draw the technical plans: the layout of the stage, structures, screens and furniture, the routes for guests and crew, and the rigging of anything flown overhead. The venue, the suppliers and the safety officers all work from these same plans.

We design the lighting: a mood for each moment, from the welcome to dinner, and the equipment each one needs. We then put the crew together: production manager, sound, lighting and video technicians, stage crew, riggers and set builders.

Production follow-up, show calling and cost control

During preparation, we track every build and every delivery against the schedule. On the build, the production manager leads the crews on site and settles access, timings and safety with the venue. During the event, the production manager runs the cue sheet and calls each cue. At the get-out, the crews hand the venue back in the condition agreed.

We follow spending until the budget is closed, and at each review you know exactly where it stands.
