Luxury pop-up stores in Paris, from the first idea to handing back the keys

For a few weeks, your clients find the house at an unexpected address, then the boutique disappears. We produce these pop-up stores for luxury houses.

Luxury houses open pop-up stores in Paris for a few days or a few weeks, for a launch or a season, and Prodbox, an event production company, produces them on their behalf. From the first visit to the premises to handing back the keys, our team follows each project, with event experience that goes back to 1994.

A temporary boutique: choosing the address with you

A temporary boutique in Paris begins with an address, a street-level shop or a former workshop. If you are weighing up several places, we visit them with you and carry out a feasibility study of each one. We look at what your clients will see, the façade and the daylight, then at what the production will need: delivery access, power supply, water, ceiling height, and the rules of the building and the neighbourhood.

Permissions and safety, prepared in advance

A pop-up store is still a shop open to the public, even for a few days. You generally need the landlord's agreement, permission from the town hall for a sign, façade dressing or use of the pavement, and compliance with the venue's fire safety and accessibility rules. We prepare these formalities with you from the feasibility study onwards, along with the rest of the corporate event production: budgets, suppliers, technical plans and show calling.

A luxury pop-up store: set, light and route

In a luxury pop-up store, your clients discover the house over the length of a visit. We draw the route with you, from the window to the testing or tasting area, then we design the lighting and oversee the building of the sets. The elements arrive ready to install, for a short build on site. For the façade and the interior, we work as we do for window display design or event set design: careful finishes, made to be seen up close, and sets that last through several weeks of visitors.

The opening, the run and the get-out

A pop-up store often opens with an evening: your guests discover the place before the public, with the light, sound and welcome planned by the production team. During the weeks of opening, we look after the place with the teams agreed with you, from the upkeep of the sets to lighting adjustments. After closing, the crew take everything down and hand the premises back in the condition set out in the occupancy agreement.

The pop-up store is one of the tools of luxury brand activation; for a fragrance or beauty house, it can accompany a launch, alongside the fragrance and beauty events we produce.

Pop-up stores we have produced

Fragrance and beauty houses have entrusted us with their pop-up stores, and champagne and spirits houses with their pop-up bars.

Even before you have found the address, tell us about your project and we will visit the places with you.

The stages of a pop-up store, from site visit to get-out

1. Your project: the house, the products, the dates, the atmosphere you want. 2. The venue: visits, feasibility study, choice of address with you. 3. The formalities: landlord's agreement, town hall permissions, the venue's safety rules. 4. The specifications and the budget, then the selection of suppliers and price negotiation. 5. The technical plans, the lighting and the building of the sets. 6. The build, the opening evening and the weeks of operation. 7. The get-out and the handing back of the premises.

What we take on, and what stays with you

You are the project, we are the production. You keep hold of the brand, the products and the sales. We run the production, from the choice of suppliers to show calling, budget and technical plans included, and we track costs until the get-out. Until opening day, we work strictly within your confidentiality rules.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a specialist to open a temporary boutique in Paris?

You need a team that holds the whole project together: the venue, the permissions, the build, the installation and the get-out. That is the work of Prodbox, an event production company in Paris, for luxury houses and for the event agencies that support them.

How long does a pop-up store last?

From a few days to a few weeks, depending on your launch and the occupancy agreement for the venue. We set the build, the opening and the get-out to these dates.

What permissions do you need to open a temporary boutique in Paris?

Generally the landlord's agreement, permission from the town hall for the sign, façade dressing or use of the pavement, and compliance with the safety and accessibility rules of a place open to the public. We prepare these formalities with you from the feasibility study onwards.

Can you visit the premises with us before we choose?

Yes. We visit the addresses you have in mind with you and carry out a feasibility study of each: build access, power, ceiling height, façade and the rules of the building.

Can you produce the opening evening of the pop-up store?

Yes. We produce the opening evening in the place itself, with the light, sound and welcome of the guests, then we put the boutique back in order for the first day open to the public.
